Chapati

Thin unleavened flatbread made from Atta

Also known as

Phulka

Chapati is the most common form of Roti, a thin unleavened flatbread made from Atta flour. The dough is shaped into small balls, rolled thin and briefly baked on a dry Tava before being puffed up over an open flame. A good Chapati is soft, lightly speckled from the heat and free of folds. In Northern Indian households, Chapati is made fresh for every meal. We carry Atta flour in various brands for Chapati preparation.
