Roti

Umbrella term for unleavened flatbreads

Also known as

Rotli

Roti is the general term for unleavened flatbreads on the Indian subcontinent. A dough of Atta flour, water and salt is kneaded, divided into balls, rolled thin and baked on a Tava pan. Roti is the daily bread foundation in Northern Indian households and accompanies almost every dish. Variants include Chapati, Phulka, Paratha and Makki di Roti made from corn flour. We stock Atta and other flours for preparing Roti.
