Atta

Whole wheat flour for Indian flatbreads

Also known as

Aata, Atta-Mehl, Chakki Atta

Atta is finely ground whole wheat flour, the foundation for Chapati, Roti, Paratha and many other Indian flatbreads. Unlike Western wheat flour, the entire grain including germ and bran is milled, giving Atta a slightly nutty flavor and elastic texture. In Northern India, particularly Punjab, Atta is a daily staple. Brands like Aashirvaad are among the world's best-selling. We carry Atta from Aashirvaad and other original brands.
