Dal Tadka

Toor dal, simmered until soft and whisked creamy, finished with a tadka of ghee, cumin seeds and hing. An everyday dish from North India.

  • 200 g Toor dal
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • 1 pinch Hing (asafoetida)
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds, whole
  • ½ tsp Chilli powder, hot
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • 1 l Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 cm Ginger, fresh
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 handful Coriander leaves

We ship with Hermes and DHL within Germany. Delivery takes 2 to 5 business days from your order.

Free shipping within Germany from 49 EUR order value. Below that, we charge a flat 4.90 EUR for delivery.

Around 50 brands, including TRS, MDH, Haldiram's, Aashirvaad and Shan. For almost all of them, the product page names who is behind the brand.

We accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Amazon Pay, Link and Revolut Pay. Which payment methods are shown to you depends on your device and the order amount, among other things.

You can withdraw from unopened, still sealed items within 14 days of receipt. Once you have opened the seal of food or cosmetic products, the right of withdrawal expires; there is none for goods that are liable to deteriorate rapidly. You bear the cost of returning the goods. Details are set out in the withdrawal notice.

The best-before date is printed on the pack; some goods such as salt or sugar are not required by law to carry one. We do not ship goods whose date has passed. The manufacturer's storage instructions are shown on the product page where available.
