Taste and use
The pack works with 60 g of uncooked rice per person: rinse, soak for 30 minutes in cold water, two measures of water to one measure of rice, bring to the boil and simmer covered for 10 to 12 minutes.
About this product
Sella means parboiled: the rice is soaked, steamed and dried while still in its husk, before milling. That gives it the golden colour and a firmer grain – it breaks less while cooking and barely sticks. This is why many reach for sella rather than white basmati when making biryani. 5 kg sack, a product of India.
