Basmati

Aromatic long-grain rice from Northern India and Pakistan

Also known as

Basmati-Reis

Basmati is an aromatic long-grain rice grown primarily in the foothills of the Himalayas in India and Pakistan. Its slim grains elongate significantly when cooked and carry a distinctive nutty floral aroma. True Basmati requires several years of aging to develop its full quality. It is the classic foundation for Biryani, Pulao and pairs with any curry. We stock aged Basmati varieties from Daawat and other original brands.
