Taste and use
Parboiled basmati tastes a little fuller than white and stays firmer to the bite. It also forgives more: miss the right moment by a little and you rarely end up with mush.
About this product
Basmati rice of the 1121 variety, as printed on the pack, parboiled: the rice is soaked, steamed and dried while still in its husk, before milling. Hence the golden colour and the firmer grain, which breaks less while cooking and barely sticks. For biryani this is the safe choice. Available as a 5 kg and a 10 kg sack.
