Taste and use
Roasted and nutty in aroma, barely sweet on its own. The sweetness comes from the milk and sugar it is prepared with.
About this product
Very fine wheat flour vermicelli, fried to a golden brown before packing. It sits in the bag as a round nest of fine threads. It needs no long cooking time: it softens as it steeps in warm, sweetened milk. This is the base for Sheer Khurma, Kheer and Seviyan, the milk desserts served on festive days.
About Ahmed
Ahmed Foods was founded in Karachi in 1952 and started out with pickles and preserves. From Ahmed we stock two pickles in oil, one of mango and one of mango and vegetables, plus roasted vermicelli.
