Taste and use

Sweet, with a clear butter aroma and a trace of sesame from the shortening. The crumb is short and sandy, not chewy. Soft and bendy means the pack was left open.

About this product

Round, short-textured cookies from India, where they belong with chai. The ingredient list states 2.1 per cent butter; the remaining fat is bakery shortening of palm and sesame oil. The cookie is baked firm and survives a brief dip in hot tea without breaking off at once. It is eaten as it is.
