Taste and use
Sweet and savoury at once, with anise, cardamom and clove in the filling and a short chilli heat behind it. They are right when the shell flakes instead of being tough.
About this product
Small fried wheat pastries filled with mung beans, cashews and raisins – not the potato filling of the large takeaway samosa, and with sugar in the filling not purely savoury either. At this size they are not a dish but the bowl that goes with tea. Around 60 g for four people.
About Haldiram's
Haldiram's began as a namkeen shop in Bikaner; in 1970 the founder's grandson moved the business to Nagpur and opened its first factory. We stock savouries and sweets.
