Taste and use
On its own mamra tastes of very little – it is the dry carrier for chutney, onion and spice. Once it draws damp it turns leathery, so close the pack tightly and mix only just before eating.
About this product
Mamra is rice puffed under pressure – light, dry grains that fall apart in the mouth. It is the base of bhel puri and goes into chivda mixes; it is not cooked, it goes into the bowl dry. The ingredient list names puffed rice only, with no salt and no oil. 400 g.
About Heera
Heera is the oldest brand of P&B Foods in England; the company goes back to 1965, when Mr Patel sold rice and spices from a van. We stock flours, rice flakes and sugar.
