Taste and use
Sweet and savoury at once, with sesame and fennel in front, star anise and cinnamon behind, and a short heat from white and long pepper. They are right when the shell flakes as you bite.
About this product
Fried wheat pastry parcels filled with chickpea flour, sesame, cashews and raisins. Kachori comes with lentils, with onion, and as here with dried fruit – this version is the sweet-savoury one, with ten per cent icing sugar. Around 60 g for four people with tea.
About Kemchho
Kemchho covers fried savouries as eaten with tea in Maharashtra and Gujarat: chakli, bhakarwadi, chavana. They are brought to Germany by Global Foods Trading in Biebesheim.
