Taste and use
Salty, without the sulphurous note of black salt. Where a recipe asks for sindha namak, ordinary salt is the closest substitute, not kala namak.
About this product
Rock salt, ground. The ingredient list names nothing but rock salt, and the product name gives the form: sindha namak as a powder, fine enough to sprinkle and to stir in. Rock salt is mined rather than taken from sea water. The bag holds 100 grams.
