Taste and use
Neutral on their own, almost tasteless. Soaked properly the pearls are soft to the core and separate from one another; too much water turns them into a sticky mass.
About this product
Small pearls of cassava starch, not a pulse but starch from a root. In India they belong to fasting days: sabudana khichdi with peanuts and potato, sabudana vada as fritters, kheer as a pudding. The pearls are soaked in a little water until they swell and crush between your fingers.
