Taste and use
Caramel-like and earthy, far fuller than white sugar. The cubes can be broken and dissolve in hot liquid.
About this product
Unrefined sugar from sugarcane, obtained by slow boiling and formed into cubes. The tub holds one kilogram. The label reads “white”; the cubes themselves are light brown, not white. In Indian cooking jaggery goes into sweets, chutneys and curries.
About Annam
Annam covers staples from India: rice, lentils, flours, spices and sugar. They are brought to Germany by Transfood, a wholesaler in Ratingen.
