Taste and use
Flavourless on its own, faintly grainy. Not hot and not salted. It carries the seasoning of everything else. It is right when it crackles dry; if it bends, the pack has been open too long.
About this product
Puffed rice grains and nothing else – no salt, no oil, no seasoning. Murmura is the base of bhelpuri: mix it with onion, tomato, chutney and sev only just before eating, never earlier, or it turns soft. Also used for chivda and jhalmuri. For four plates of bhelpuri allow around 80 g.
About Annam
Annam covers staples from India: rice, lentils, flours, spices and sugar. They are brought to Germany by Transfood, a wholesaler in Ratingen.
