Taste and use
Salty and nutty, with a short chickpea finish. Barely hot – the mildest of the sev varieties here. It is right when it snaps rather than bends; soft sev has drawn moisture.
About this product
Fine fried noodles of chickpea flour, salted and lightly spiced. Four ingredients, no more. Sev goes on top of the finished dish, not into it: over bhelpuri, poha, dahi puri, or over a lentil soup just before serving. For four plates allow two to three tablespoons, around 30 g.
About Balaji
Balaji Wafers belongs to the Virani family in Rajkot, Gujarat, and has carried that name since 1981. From Balaji we stock sev, khakhra crackers and snack mixes.
