Taste and use
Dry and brittle, it snaps at the first bite. Toasted wholemeal first, cumin behind it, little salt. If it bends instead of breaking, it has drawn moisture from the air.
About this product
Khakhra is a thin, twice-baked flatbread from Gujarat, here made from wholemeal wheat flour with cumin. It comes ready to eat and needs no heating. In Gujarat it belongs to breakfast, with tea, yoghurt or pickle; it also carries a spread without going soggy.
About Balaji
Balaji Wafers belongs to the Virani family in Rajkot, Gujarat, and has carried that name since 1981. From Balaji we stock sev, khakhra crackers and snack mixes.
