Taste and use

Clearly hot, with the sharp, almost medicinal note of ajowan and the warmth of clove. The heat stays longer than in chana jor garam. It is right when it snaps rather than bends.

About this product

Thick fried noodles of chickpea flour and moth bean flour, seasoned with chilli, ajowan, clove and asafoetida. The style comes from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh and is the hottest sev on this shelf. It goes over poha at breakfast, over a sprout salad, or is eaten by hand with tea. For four plates of poha around 25 g.
