Taste and use
Herbal and slightly bitter, with a note of hay and celery. Not hot. Crushed, it releases its scent at once; cooked along, only the bitterness stays and the scent is gone.
About this product
The dried leaves of the fenugreek plant, not the seeds. Kasoori methi is added right at the end: crush a teaspoon between your palms and scatter it over the finished dish. This is the note that separates restaurant butter chicken, dal makhani and paneer dishes from home ones.
