Taste and use

Salty with a sweet note from the sugar, plus anise and fennel in the finish. Only 1.2 per cent spice, little of it chilli – clearly milder than all in one or dal biji. It is right when the parts snap singly.

About this product

A snack mix in the Gujarati style: sixty per cent chickpea-flour sev, plus peanuts, split chickpeas, rice flakes and three per cent sugar. Seasoned with anise, fennel, ajowan and curry leaves – the sweet, aromatic direction that separates Gujarat from the hotter mixes of the north. Around 60 g for four people.

Haldiram's began as a namkeen shop in Bikaner; in 1970 the founder's grandson moved the business to Nagpur and opened its first factory. We stock savouries and sweets.
