Taste and use
Caramel-like and earthy. The flavour comes from the cane juice being boiled down only, never refined; that is also where the brown colour comes from.
About this product
Unrefined sugar from sugarcane; the ingredient list names nothing else. It comes as a solid, cone-shaped block of 900 grams rather than as a powder: for cooking, pieces are broken or grated off. In Indian cooking gur goes into sweets, chutneys and curries.

Heera is the oldest brand of P&B Foods in England; the company goes back to 1965, when Mr Patel sold rice and spices from a van. We stock flours, rice flakes and sugar.
