Taste and use
Salty with a clear, clean bitterness from the fenugreek, plus pepper and sharp ajowan. Chilli is not on the ingredient list – they are not hot. It is right when the discs break cleanly.
About this product
Small fried wheat discs with fenugreek leaves worked into the dough, plus black pepper, cumin and ajowan. Methi here is the leaf, not the seed – it brings the light bitterness that north India looks for with tea. Puri means disc, not the puffed flatbread. Around 60 g for four people.
About Kemchho
Kemchho covers fried savouries as eaten with tea in Maharashtra and Gujarat: chakli, bhakarwadi, chavana. They are brought to Germany by Global Foods Trading in Biebesheim.
