Taste and use
Caramel-like and earthy, stronger than white sugar. Being a powder it dissolves quickly, with nothing to break off or grate first.
About this product
Unrefined sugar from sugarcane, obtained by slow boiling and finely ground. The ingredient list names only sugarcane, and the pack holds one kilogram. As a powder it can be measured and stirred in like brown sugar, unlike gur in a block or in pieces. In Indian cooking gur goes into sweets, chutneys and curries.
