Taste and use
Caramel-like and earthy. The pieces are dark brown and stronger in taste than white sugar; their size varies from piece to piece.
About this product
Sugar from sugarcane in irregular pieces, neither a block nor a powder. The ingredient list names only unrefined natural sugarcane. The tub holds one kilogram, and the pieces dissolve in hot liquid. In Indian cooking gur goes into sweets, chutneys and curries.
