Taste and use
Tart and herbaceous, with black salt and mint behind. Chilli comes fourth in the ingredient list, behind coriander, dried mango and salt.
About this product
Spice blend for rajma, the red kidney beans with onions and tomatoes. The pack states 15 grams to 200 grams of soaked beans and names black-eyed beans as a second use for the same blend. The acidity comes from dried mango and pomegranate seeds, not from tomato alone.
About MDH
MDH stands for Mahashian Di Hatti, the Gulati family spice shop from Sialkot, reopened in Delhi after partition in 1947. The company is based in Gurgaon today.
