Taste and use
Mild and faintly sweet, without an earthy note. Cooked properly the lentils break down completely into an even yellow, flowing mixture; no individual halves remain.
About this product
Split red lentils without the skin, tender in around five to fifteen minutes without soaking. They are the everyday dal and go equally well into soups and stews. Whole brown lentils with the skin, by contrast, hold their shape and take longer.
