Taste and use
Salty, sour and hot. The heat comes from red chilli, the bitter note from fenugreek and mustard. Fennel and cumin work against them.
About this product
Mango in pieces, 60 to 63 per cent, pickled in rapeseed oil (20 per cent) with fenugreek, red chilli, turmeric, mustard, fennel, cumin and nigella. Achar is served by the spoonful alongside the meal, not cooked into it: next to dal, rice or flatbread. The pack notes that pieces of the mango stone may be present.
