Taste and use
Sour and salty, with clear heat. Turmeric gives the colour and an earthy note, nigella the slightly bitter finish.
About this product
Mango, carrot, lime, chilli and lasoora make up 60 to 65 per cent together, pickled in rapeseed oil with turmeric, salt and nigella. Chilli appears twice in the ingredient list, once as part of the mix and once ground as a spice. Achar is served by the spoonful alongside the meal, not cooked into it.

Ahmed Foods was founded in Karachi in 1952 and started out with pickles and preserves. From Ahmed we stock two pickles in oil, one of mango and one of mango and vegetables, plus roasted vermicelli.
