Taste and use
Salty and garlicky, sour from the tamarind, with noticeable chilli heat. Clearly more strongly seasoned than the plain sev murmura. The mix is right when the puffed rice still crackles.
About this product
Puffed rice and chickpea-flour sev, seasoned together with chilli, black pepper, curry leaves and asafoetida, plus onion, garlic and tamarind. The mix is finished: eat it from a bowl, or add onion, tomato and lime and turn it into bhelpuri. Around 60 g for four people.
About Balaji
Balaji Wafers belongs to the Virani family in Rajkot, Gujarat, and has carried that name since 1981. From Balaji we stock sev, khakhra crackers and snack mixes.
