Taste and use
Salty, with the sulphurous note of black salt and a short beany finish. Not hot – there is no chilli in it. They are right when they snap hard and are dry inside.
About this product
Split husked mung beans, fried, with iodised salt and black salt – four ingredients, no spices. A finished snack, not a lentil for cooking. Eaten by the handful or scattered over chaat and bhelpuri, where they supply the firm bite next to the soft puffed rice. A handful, around 30 g, is one bowl.

Balaji Wafers belongs to the Virani family in Rajkot, Gujarat, and has carried that name since 1981. From Balaji we stock sev, khakhra crackers and snack mixes.
