Taste and use
Nutty from the urid lentil, salty, with warm, slightly smoky cumin over it. Milder than the pepper version, without heat.
About this product
Papad, a paper-thin wafer of urid lentil flour, here with 1.1 per cent cumin. Unroasted it is hard and cannot be eaten. The pack names three ways: a few seconds in hot oil, about 60 seconds in the microwave, or briefly over a flame. It is served as a crisp side with dal and rice.
About Lijjat
Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad began in Bombay in 1959, when seven women on a rooftop terrace made four packets of papad. From Lijjat we stock four papad varieties.
