Papadum (Papad)

Thin crispy bread from lentil flour

Papadum, called Papad in India, is a thin crispy bread made from lentil flour, usually Urad Dal, seasoned with cumin, black pepper or garlic. It is briefly fried, toasted or puffed over an open flame. Papad accompanies Indian meals as a crispy side, especially at festivals, or is served as a snack. There are numerous regional variants in shape, seasoning and flour base. We carry Papad in various varieties and brands.
