Taste and use
Salty and nutty from the urid lentil, with the spice blend over it and noticeable heat from the chilli. Stronger than the cumin version.
About this product
Spiced papad: a paper-thin wafer of urid lentil flour with a chilli and spice blend in the dough. Raw it is hard. A few seconds in hot oil, about a minute in the microwave or briefly over a flame make it crisp. In India it is also served topped with chopped onion, tomato and coriander.
About Lijjat
Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad began in Bombay in 1959, when seven women on a rooftop terrace made four packets of papad. From Lijjat we stock four papad varieties.
