Taste and use
Tart and herbaceous, with the sulphurous note of black salt that belongs with chickpeas. Chilli comes fourth in the ingredient list, behind coriander, mango and salt.
About this product
Spice blend for chana masala, the chickpea dish from northern India. The acidity comes from dried mango and pomegranate seeds, not from tomato alone. The pack states 20 grams to 200 grams of soaked chickpeas, which is five pots from the 100 gram box.
About MDH
MDH stands for Mahashian Di Hatti, the Gulati family spice shop from Sialkot, reopened in Delhi after partition in 1947. The company is based in Gurgaon today.
